This is one of the coolest things I’ve gotten to do thus far as a songwriter, so I had to share. On 5/22/12 at the University Bookstore, I (along with other members of the Bushwick Book Club Seattle), performed a song inspired by NY Times best-selling author Justin Halpern‘s latest book, “I Suck at Girls“. The book itself pee-your-self-funny so to write a song inspired by it was a little intimidating – especially since Justin Halpern himself was going to be there (we were performing at his book tour stop in Seattle).
He loved my song which made me blush. It was so awesome.
